Retelling your story
While you may already use a variety of social media channels, it’s likely that you will ultimately want to direct your followers – and potential new customers – to a vibrant and engaging website.
When we created NottsNight in 2016, we wanted to feature the best of nightlife in Nottingham, using a strong visual image with bespoke elements of graphic design. This is just one example of how we can work with you to transform your online presence. Here’s a overview of how we did it.
Stage one : establishing an identity
A website only works if it’s easy to navigate. And while that may sound like a pretty obvious thing, it’s amazing how many businesses and organisations populate their sites with clunky graphics, outdated fonts or poor pictures. Throughout NottsNight, the distinctive black on white logo is constant, menus and visuals are optimised for use on mobile devices, and text is complemented by clean graphics which double up as navigation buttons.

Stage two : A centrepiece “talking point”
Having established the main theme for NottsNight, we wanted to add an element of visual design that could be downloaded and used by our followers. Drawing upon one of the twentieth century’s most familiar designs, we created the NottsNight Map, inspired by the classic London Underground graphic. The latest edition is here – click for a bigger image.

Stage three : Additional assets
It soon became clear that NottsNight was a website in demand, so we produced printed editions of the main map, using high quality vinyl coated paper compressed into a pocket sized A6 leaflets. We added to it a series of “NottsNight Trails”, guiding users around different districts.

And that was only the start of the NottsNight journey. The website transformed into a successful podcast.
